In a summer cottage on Chesapeake Bay, Gunner has hatched an unorthodox plan to secure his family’s future but meets with resistance from his wife and son, who have plans of their own. As winter approaches, the three must quickly find common ground and come to an understanding—before the tide goes out. This drama hums with dark humor and powerful emotion.

Jonathan Graham has been riding the coattails of his fellow thespian’s since he began treading the boards, and this show is no exception. He first stumbled onto the stage in high school while looking for his French class, and has been listening for his cue to exit since. Jim DePriest had him aspiring to “be taller” and “be better”, which he hopes to finally achieve in this production. He’s ecstatic to be networking with co-stars Steven David Martin and Elizabeth Henry in the hopes that it skyrockets his career to new heights by being associated with the Sonoma county theatre elite. After being typecast in the last few shows, he hopes that sleeping with the director will finally land him his dream role.

Elizabeth Henry (Peg)

Elizabeth is beyond thrilled to be working with her theatrical idols, Amy Lovato, Jonathan Graham, and Steven David Martin, in this delightful romp through advancing Alzheimer’s disease. To list any previous theatrical credits would pale in comparison to her great good fortune in finally getting to work with these creative geniuses at the same time, resulting in the absolute zenith of her theatrical career; an experience that will never be matched, much less exceeded. So, with nowhere to go but down, Elizabeth is also announcing her retirement from the stage, with profound thanks and eternal gratitude to Lovato, Graham, and Martin for making her farewell production such a complete success and unrivaled joy.

Steven David Martin (Gunner)

Steven is beyond thrilled to be working with his theatrical idols, Amy Lovato, Jonathan Graham, and Elizabeth Henry, in this delightful romp through advancing Alzheimer’s disease. To list any previous theatrical credits would pale in comparison to his great good fortune in finally getting to work with these creative geniuses all at the same time, resulting in the absolute zenith of his theatrical… wait, what was I saying... I forget…

Amy Lovato (director)

Amy Lovato isn’t quite sure how she stumbled into the position of director for this production. Once upon a time…before the pandemic (as all good stories begin), Jonathan Graham wanted to direct this show, and Amy was supposed to stage manage. They reached out to the only person they knew could pull off the role of Gunner, Steven David Martin, and began plotting on how to make it happen. Unfortunately, Amy is horrible at communication, and now that the play is underway, she finds herself in the director seat and Jonathan onstage. Luckily for her, the cast needs little help, and Jennifer Clark is there to assist them when they do. Thus, Amy is here in name only, and promises not to disgrace CPAC with her (mis)direction again once this run is complete. She leaves you with her favorite theatrical genre: a light hearted, uplifting romp.
