Raven on the Road: A Good Deal


Lee, a psychologist from Santa Fe, unexpectedly shows up at the door of her old flame, Bo, with a life-changing secret she is reluctant to share. As she struggles with opening up to Bo, Lee also seeks to reconnect with her estranged daughter who lives nearby. Brimming with humanity and humor, A Good Deal is a bittersweet tale of love, loss, and family connections. Developed through the Raven Players’ ScripTease program.


Meet the Cast/Crew

Sydnie Crumrine-Thomsen (Leaf) is a recent college graduate from Sonoma State University where she performed in many shows most notably “In The Heights as Camilla,” Perfect Arrangementsas Millie, and “Loves Labors Lostas Boyett. Since graduating she has performed in “As You Like Itas Amiens with The Curtain Theater and is now very excited to be joining the Raven family! 


Matt Farrell (Bo Lewis) is beyond thrilled to be a part of this original production. He has been a community theater actor in the counties of Sonoma and Marin for over two decades. Credits include: Senator Charles Whitmore in “Church & State, Banquo in “Macbeth, Don in “Eureka Day, Glenn Cooper in “Rumors, Valentine in “Two Gentlemen of Verona, Lloyd Dallas in “Noises Off, and Adrian in “The Comedy of Errors. All his love to his wonderful parents and to his beautiful girlfriend Tika. 


Kit Flanagan (Kate) After a lengthy hiatus, Kit continues to enjoy her return to the stage. It began last year with her debut as a sister/conductor/jeweler/cop, followed by a stenobot, Right Ear, and a woman sorting herself out in some kind of purgatory… She is delighted that this year she is simply dying of a rare disease, and is grateful to everyone who has given her this opportunity, especially Eric.


Jenna Vera Dolcini (Director) got the theater bug as a young girl, and has been working behind the scenes for 30 years, mostly in theater management. She has always loved working on new plays and is beyond thrilled to be directing this play.


Jeanette Seisdedos (Stage Manager) steps offstage and into the wings as Stage Manager for the first time. Having previously appeared in “Macbeth, “Home, I’m Darling, and “Eureka Day, she is thrilled to experience theatre from a new perspective. She is thankful for this talented cast and crew and sends heartfelt thanks to her family for their constant encouragement, flexibility, and unwavering support of her theatrical adventures.


Alan Roter (Assistant Stage Manager) played guitar in “Catch Me If You Can”, “Sister Act” and “The Wedding Singer” at Redwood City Community Theater,“Evil Dead”, “School of Rock” and 24/7 at the Raven, and in Footnotes Jazz Band for 20+ years (including 8 performances at the San Jose Jazz Festival). Alan was also assistant stage manager for the “The Germans Upstairs”, “Deathtrap”, “Raven Shorts”, “Home I'm Darling”, “Macbeth” and “Who Will Dance With Pancho Villa?”.


Ron Nash (Playwright) The Raven Players have produced three of his recent works His most recent full length play produced by the Raven, “Surprise Party”, received positive local reviews and a Broadway Producer/Director wanted to produce it but funds were lacking. He’s had more than 30 productions of his plays produced world-wide. Nash is also a set and lighting designer, with more than 100 productions under his belt in both disciplines. He taught at colleges for 20 years and retired as Chair of the U Mass Boston Theatre Arts Department in ’02. His only regret is that he is hitting his playwriting stride at 84.
