This is British farce at its most frenetic, improbable and charming. Mild-mannered accountant Henry A. Perkins is on his way home on the train when he picks up the wrong briefcase, one full of money. He assumes it is illicit but decides to keep it, races home to his wife and tells her they will move to Barcelona and leave everything behind. Confusion reigns as the couple tries to flee, with incompetent cops and criminals chasing Henry and his wife, and the money. The hapless accountant’s mad impulse to take the money and run finally comes to a predictably unpredictable finale. A play for lovers of comic mayhem in the best British style.
